Raymond O'Donell Obituary (2023)

Raymond Herbert O’Donnell, 78, of Waukegan, IL., a beloved son, brother, uncle and cousin passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Claridge Healthcare Center in Lake Bluff, IL. Ray was predeceased by his mother Helen O’Donnell, father Herbert O’Donnell, brother George O’Donnell and cousin Caroline Sue Edwards. He is survived by his sister Barbara Vogel, nieces Cynthia (Damian) Moshier, Julie (Mike) Silverstein, Pam (Rich) Porter, Kathy (Ray) Gornik and cousin Al Bills. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews and cousins. Ray was always so cheerful and kind to everyone and enjoyed going out to lunch at McDonald’s and sharing fun facts about sports, history, current events and the weather. We are happy that he is not in pain anymore and will miss him greatly. A service will be held inside at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a luncheon hosted by the family afterwards at Austin’s, Libertyville, IL.
