Michael Edward Brown, Jr., 74, of Wadsworth formerly of Niles passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at Lake Forest Hospital. He was born June 8, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. Michael was an avid Illinois High School sports fan and loved to attend games. He also had a passion for golf and retired after many years as a starter at The Glencoe golf club. Michael was best known for his work as a tax accountant. His unique combination of intelligence and compassion has helped many. He was blessed with the gift of gab. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and have them laughing at one of his thousands of jokes in minutes. He never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Brown, married 47 years, children, Steven (Aimee), Matthew (Crystal), Patrick (Michele); grandchildren, Piper, Crosby, Chase, Nora, Emma Brown; siblings, Tom (Denise) Brown, Kay (Shapoor) Guzder, Jackie (Denis) Neumann; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. There will be a private funeral as well as a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Peterson & Patch Funeral Home.
