Margaret Frankel May

Margaret Frankel May, 89, of Waukegan, IL passed away on October 21, 2016. She was born July 22, 1927 in Chicago IL to Hugo and Catherine (Fanning) Frankel.
She met her husband, Charles M. May, while they were working at Chicago Title & Trust Company. They were married on September 8, 1951. Charles preceded her in Death in 1987.

Margaret was a resident of Waukegan, IL since 1954. She was a member of St. Anastasia Church. She volunteered at St. Anastasia Church and School and also Carmel High School. She was a past president of the Waukegan Junior Woman’s League and a Member of Glen Flora Country Club.

Margaret was a loving mother of her surviving children: David (Anne), Richard, Maureen (Paul Pennington), Kenneth (Vivian), Virginia (Kirk) Dignum, Mary (David) Johnson, Elizabeth (Joseph) White, Joseph (Diane), Catherine (Robert) Fenger, Anthony, Ellen (late Wesley) Ley, Michael (Lisa), John (Lisa), Charles (Ellen), and Steven (Jennifer Beltrame).

Margaret is also survived by her sister Catherine (late John) Duff and brothers Robert (Dorothy) Frankel, William (Anita) Frankel, Lawrence (Mary) Frankel and Howard Frankel. She also leaves many cherished Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, parents Hugo & Catherine, sister Loretta Marren, her brother Hugo, and an infant sister.

Funeral mass will be 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at St. Anastasia Church 624 Douglas Ave. Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan and from 9:30 AM to time of mass on Thursday at the church.
