Julie Barker

Julie (nee Crawford) Barker, 75, a lifelong resident of Waukegan, IL,
wife of the late Patrick Barker, a physical education teacher at
Highland Park High School for over three decades, and mother of Beth
Barker of Zion, died Tuesday at Vista East Hospital where she was
being treated for a stroke.

The daughter of the late William B. Crawford, a prominent Chicago
lawyer, and Jane Murray Crawford, a loving and devoted mother and
homemaker, Julie was predeceased by her late husband, Pat, who died in
2004, and her son, Steven Barker, a graduate of Waukegan Township High
School and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, who died of leukemia in 2008.

In addition to Beth, Julie is survived by two brothers: William B.
Crawford Jr., 74, his wife, Marci, (nee Abraham), and their son,
William B. Crawford III, of Naperville, IL.; and Murray Crawford, 77,
of Satellite Beach, FL. and his four sons, Greg, William, Peter and
Jonathan.
Funeral services and Burial will be private.
