Joyce Erdal

Joyce Erdal, 87, of Lake Bluff IL, passed away on March 26, 2023.

Joyce was born in Waukegan IL on October 21, 1935, and graduated from Waukegan High School in 1952.

Joyce married her husband Marvin " Mickey" Erdal in 1954, and they enjoyed 68 years together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Adeline Jackson, her brother Joseph Jackson, and sister Beverly Robichaud. She is survived by her husband Mickey; 5 loving children Dean (Melissa) Erdal, David (Kim) Erdal, Donna (Bob) Lesnak, Douglas (Cindy) Erdal, and Daniel Erdal; 11 grandchildren David, Devin, Betsy, Katlin, Samantha, Mary, Claire, Jordan, Peyton, Brian, and Kevin, 9 greatgrandchildren; and her sister-in-law Margaret Jackson.

Joyce spent much of her career working alongside Mickey at Camp Ravenswood YMCA in Lake Villa, IL, where her family spent many summers enjoying the outdoors. She enjoyed time with her family, collecting antiques, Agatha Christie books, Hallmark movies, and her iPad.

Per the family's wishes, memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Macular Degeneration Foundation.
