Ismael Gomez-Colon Obituary (1924

Ismael Gomez-Colon, 91, of Waukegan passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at his home. He was born July 2, 1924 in Puerto Rico. Ismael retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Carmen Lydia Gomez; son, Edwin Gomez-Colon; daughters, Ketty (Thomas) Ash, Nancy Hollis, Carmen (Douglas) Taylor; grandchildren, Joshua Ash, Kristin Ash, Jared Ash, Joel Hollis, Meaghan Taylor; great grandchildren, Alahna Lundberg, Enrique Rivera, Madison Ash and Scout Ash. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Iglesia Metodista Unida 3210 Duggald Ave Waukegan. Private interment with Military Honors will be at Fort Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan and on Wednesday from 12 noon to time of service at the church.
