Helen Scheible Streit

Helen Scheible Streit, 86, of Waukegan passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion.
She was born February 20, 1929 in Chicago and was a life time area resident.
Helen was a member of St. Dismas Parish in Waukegan, Sigma XI, an Honor Scientific Society.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1951 from DePaul University. In 1953 she received her Master of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern University and in 1954 she received her Doctorate (PhD) in Psychology also from Northwestern University.
She retired from DePaul University in Chicago where she was a Psychology Professor, (PhD).
Helen is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Streit married August 25, 1956; children, Thomas G. Streit, Karol Streit Rini, James M. Streit, Michael G. Streit; grandchildren, Monica, Alyson, Macy, Alex Streit, Sydney and Gabrielle Rini.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Scheible and a sister, MaryJane Scheible.
Funeral services and interment will be private at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
