Grace Hager

Grace Hager, age 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion. She was born on July 14, 1915 in Chicago.
Grace was united in marriage on February 11, 1940 to Roland Hager, and they spent the next 63 happy years together. Mrs. Hager was an administrative secretary at Outboard Marine Corp. in Waukegan, where she retired from after more than 28 years of employment. As a Waukegan resident for more than 60 years, Grace was an avid gardener, and along with her husband Roland, had a deep love for animals and enjoyed to travel. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Waukegan.
Grace is survived by her sister, Lois Meisner of Somonauk, Illinois; nieces, Barbara Mangold of Cedar Park, Texas, Lynn Walters of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Janet (Dennis) Barnes of San Dismas, California; nephews, Tim (Jackie) Meisner of Somonauk, Illinois, John (Brenda) Hager of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; great nieces, Sarah Shaughnessy of Chicago and Brianne Mangold of Cedar Park, Texas; several other nieces and nephews and dear friend, David (Jill) Devall of Waukegan.
Grace is preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Roland; brothers-in-law, William (Lois) Meisner of Somonauk, Illinois, Roy and Charles Hager and nephews, David Meisner of Aurora, Illinois and Dale Hager .
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to time of service at the funeral home.
