Frank J. Costa

Frank J. Costa, 64, of Beach Park passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016 in his long-time residence at Winchester House Nursing Home in Libertyville after his long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was surrounded by family when he passed.
Frank is survived by his son, Jerry of Kenosha, WI; daughter, Toni of Beach Park and grandsons, Ethan and John of Kenosha, WI.
He is also survived by his ex-wife, Jill (Schoknecht) Costa of Beach Park; his brothers, Joseph (Judy) of Gurnee and Michael (Mona) of Beach Park; sister-in-law, Karin Costa of Beach Park; nieces and nephews, Lisa (Paul) McLafferty of Elmhurst, IL., Cindy (Jason) Smith of Dublin, OH., Peter (Anne) Costa of Livermore, CA., Matt Costa of Beach Park and Christy Costa of Chicago.
Frank is also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Carmella (Diaguila) and brother, Anthony “Bit”.
Frank was a lover of science fiction, especially Star Trek; cars and motorcycles, food, bowling, billiards and fishing. His favorite fishing spot was the Gala Resort in Fremont, WI. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and cherished laughter above all else. Anyone who met him fell in love with his good spirit and quirky sense of humor. Frank graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1969 and went on to work for North Shore Printers and later the City of Waukegan (Water Department). He then drove semi-truck OTR for American Hospital Supply (Scientific Products Division) and Baxter Healthcare Corporation.
Funeral mass will be 11:00 AM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church 10655 Wadsworth Rd. Beach Park, Illinois. Interment will be private. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan and from 10:00 AM to time of mass on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the church.
