Eda Hoff

Eda Hoff (nee Ramacci), Age 98, of Waukegan, IL passed away, Friday, February 9, 2024.
She was born June 16, 1925 in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of Raffaele and Antonia (nee
Pasquali) Ramacci. She married John “Jack” Hoff on April 5, 1945, who preceded her in death
in 2014.
Eda left this world peacefully and beautifully as her family gathered at her bedside to share
endearing family stories. All who knew her will miss her one of a kind laugh, her radiant smile,
her impeccable sense of style, her passion for golf, her sometimes dirty jokes, her love for
kitties, her stories of growing up in Kenosha’s “Little Italy”, her beautiful flowers and her
Christmas biscotti.
She was proud of her ability to continue avidly golfing until she was 93. When she was 85 in
2010, she shot an 89 at Glen Flora CC! She loved to play golf at Foss Park for years with
friends as well! She was a character! She will not be forgotten by those who knew her as a fun
loving friend, a good neighbor, and a difficult patient! Eda was a devoted wife and a loving
mother. She will be sadly missed.
Eda is survived by her three children, Ralph C. Hoff, Steven A. Hoff and Susan M.
(Robert) Horrom; 4 grandchildren Kristine Jones, Kelli (Nat) Collins, Natalie (Joe) Gajewski,
Stephanie (Nate) Raasch; also survived by 6 great grandchildren, Zackery Jones, Zackery
(Chala) Collins, Kelsi Collins, Jonathan and Paul Gajewski, and Nathan Raasch.

Chapel services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 5, 2024, at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
