Donna Weisman

Donna L. Weisman, 93, of Northbrook peacefully passed away on January 28th, 2026. Widow of Duane Regenfuss, and Jerome Weisman. Mother of James Weisman of Cary, IL and Martin Weisman of Missouri City, TX and grandmother to Cecelia Carlson Weisman and Elaine Donna Weisman passed away January 27, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her beloved brother James Prentice Clem of Terre Haute, IN. Ms. Weisman moved from Indiana to Chicago's North Shore in 1953 living for short periods of time in Chicago. She was active in the B'nai B'rith Community Players and Waukegan Community Players winning a prestigious Actors Studio scholarship to the Wisconsin Idea Theatre personally taught by Lee Strasberg of the Actors Studio. Ms. Weisman lived an exciting life and traveled extensively over the years to Africa, Japan, Bangkok, Singapore, Greece and Turkey followed by frequent trips all through Western Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii. An interior designer for 40 years she developed her own business in 1996. Her last years were spent tracing her long lineage through genealogy studies and finally writing a book about her families diverse background from different parts of Europe to pass along to her granddaughter's Cecelia Weisman of Chicago, IL and Elaine Weisman of Chicago, IL.

Graveside services will be held at Temple Am Echod Cemetery on Grand Ave. in Waukegan, IL on Friday, January 30th, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Rather than flowers the family asks for those who wish to make donations to the Humane Society, ASPCA or the Bright Focus Foundation / Macular Degeneration Research.
