Rodrick Swank Obituary (1955 - 2024)

Rodrick Swank passed peacefully with his wife and sons by his side on May 26, 2024. Rod was a lifelong Waukegan resident. He graduated from Waukegan High School in 1973, attended Southern Illinois University and graduated with an associate degree from the College of Lake County. He worked at the Waukegan Public Library until 2010 and the College of Lake County Lakeshore campus until 2020. He was all about family. A great day for him would be hanging with his three sons David, Benjamin and William, sitting on the patio listening to the Cubs game while keeping his wife, Alice, company as she cooked on the grill. He adored his granddaughter, Harper. They had their own way of joking with each other. The two would save coins and make donations to their favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital. He will be dearly missed. Memorial visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Peterson & Patch Funeral Home, 408 N Sheridan Rd. Waukegan. Interment will be private.
