Arturo Sanchez Obituary (2022)

Arturo Vicente Sanchez went to be with the lord on August 15th in Lake County Illinois where he had been an area resident since the 1980's. Arturo was born in Mexico on July 25th 1943. Arturo's strength and reliability started at a very young age and it continued on throughout his life. His parents passed before he was of age and he stepped in to finish raising his younger siblings which meant that he was unable to finish school, but that did not stop him from learning as Arturo was often seen reading his book of oraciones or solving puzzles etcetera. He is survived by his lovely wife Agustina of over 50 years who he married in 1970, he devoted his life to her and to his family. In fact he immigrated to the US in search of a better life for his family in the 80's and he worked very hard not only to provide for them but to be there for them. There are many great memories of visits to the race track or just to the local video store to pick out videos for movie night. Arturo had the best sense of humor and he was always full of joy. He loved being outdoors, gardening, bike riding, anything honestly as it was hard for him to sit down even long after he retired. He also enjoyed playing lotto scratch offs and he was pretty lucky with those too! Arturo is also survived by his children, Jesus Sanchez, Marco Antonio(Marisela) Sanchez, Vicente (Yolonda) Sanchez, Alfonsina (Edgar) Sanchez, Arturo (Jacquelyn) Sanchez and Jonathan (Christine) Sanchez and his grandchildren Tiphani, Vicente Jr, Marc, Fernando, Alejandro, Jessy, Elizabeth, Prisma, Arisbeth, Nicholas, Adrian, Jasly, Cecilia, Tony, Adelene, Yadira, Oscar, Michael, Gabriella, Damien and great grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends all of which will miss him dearly. His loving family will hold visitation Monday August 22nd from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Peterson & Patch Funeral Home in Waukegan. Funeral Services will be held the following day, Tuesday August 23 at 10:30am followed by precession to Arturo's final resting place, Mt. Le sobrevive su encantadora esposa Agustina por más de 50 años con quien se casó en 1970, dedicó su vida a ella ya su familia. Le encantaba estar al aire libre, la jardinería, andar en bicicleta, cualquier cosa, sinceramente, ya que le resultaba difícil sentarse incluso mucho después de jubilarse. ¡También disfrutaba jugando a los raspaditos de lotería y también tuvo mucha suerte con ellos! A Arturo también le sobreviven sus hijos, Jesús Sánchez, Marco Antonio (Marisela) Sánchez, Vicente (Yolonda) Sánchez, Alfonsina (Edgar) Sánchez, Arturo (Jacquelyn) Sánchez y Jonathan (Christine) Sánchez y sus nietos Tiphani, Vicente Jr, Marc , Fernando, Alejandro, Jessy, Elizabeth, Prisma, Arisbeth, Nicholas, Adrian, Jasly, Cecilia, Tony, Adelene, Yadira, Oscar, Michael, Gabriella, Damien y bisnietos, primos, sobrinos, sobrinas y amigos todos los cuales extrañaremos él cariñosamente. Su amada familia realizará el velorio el lunes 22 de agosto de 4:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Peterson & Patch Funeral Home en Waukegan. El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo de 10 a 10:30 am el martes 23 de agosto, seguido por procesión a su descanso final de Arturo Mt. Olivet Memorial Park ubicado en 1436 Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
